Automatic Content Syncing

Search Bar Pro can automatically sync your store content on a daily schedule. This keeps your search index up to date without any manual work, so new products, pages, and blog posts become searchable right away.

How to Enable Daily Auto Sync

  1. Go to the Settings page in the app
  2. Find the Automated sync section
  3. Toggle the switch to enable daily syncing
  4. Click Save

Once enabled, the app will automatically sync your store content once per day. The sync runs in the background and does not affect your store performance.

When to Use Manual Sync vs Auto Sync

Scenario Recommended Approach
You add products or pages regularly Enable auto sync for hands free updates
You rarely update your catalog Manual sync when you make changes is fine
You just added a big batch of new products Run a manual sync right away, then rely on auto sync going forward
Something seems missing from search results Run a manual sync or full re sync from Settings

Auto sync is a convenience feature. You can always run a manual sync in addition to the daily automatic one if you need results updated immediately.

What Auto Sync Does

Each day, the automatic sync:

  • Reads all enabled content types from your store (products, collections, pages, blog posts, policies, navigation)
  • Updates the search index with any new, changed, or removed content
  • Ensures search results reflect the current state of your store

The content types included in auto sync depend on what you have enabled in Settings. If you have disabled blog posts, for example, auto sync will skip them.

Disabling Auto Sync

To turn off automatic syncing, go back to Settings, toggle the automated sync switch off, and save. You can re enable it anytime.
