Here are answers to the most common questions about Search Bar Pro.

What types of content can be searched?

Search Bar Pro can search across products, collections, pages, and blog posts. It also indexes policies and navigation items. You can choose which content types to include in your search index from the Settings page.

Does it work with all Shopify themes?

Yes. Search Bar Pro works with all Shopify themes, including free themes, paid themes, and custom themes. The search widget is added as an app embed, which is supported by all Online Store 2.0 themes and most vintage themes.

How often does content sync?

You can sync your content manually at any time from the Settings page. You can also enable automatic daily syncing to keep your search index up to date without manual intervention.

Can I customize the look of the search widget?

Yes. You can customize colors (button color, button text color, accent color, text color), position (six options), widget style (search bar or icon button), trigger icon (six options), results layout (list or grid), and all text labels.

What is the difference between the Free and Pro plans?

The Free plan includes 50 searches per month with core AI search features. The Pro plan starts at $5/month for 500 searches (scalable up to 1,000,000) and adds advanced analytics, custom date range filtering, detailed query tables, and priority support.

How do I get support?

You can submit support tickets directly from the Support page inside the app. The support team will respond to your inquiry through the ticket center.

If you are on the Pro plan, you receive priority support with faster response times.

My search widget is not showing up. What do I do?

The most common cause is the app embed not being enabled. Check the Search Widget Not Appearing troubleshooting guide for step by step instructions.

Some of my products are not appearing in search results. Why?

This usually happens when content has not been synced, a content type is disabled, or products are in draft status. See Store Content Not Showing in Search Results for a full troubleshooting checklist.

Yes. Customers can press Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows to open the search panel from any page on your storefront.

Is my data secure?

Search Bar Pro only accesses your store content (products, pages, etc.) to build the search index. The app does not store customer personal data. All communication between your store and the search service is encrypted.
